The Future of Work - A world without work?
Will robots take our jobs? Will we be able to make a living from our own projects? Will we keep working meaningless, precarious jobs? Or maybe we will not be working at all?
Future of Work was a participatory workshop developed and presented by Maro Pantazidou, researcher and coordinator in social change projects (Centre for Applied Human Rights/University of York, Amnesty International, Future Society Forum and more).
During the workshop we explored:
- Tech trends that are transforming the world of work (automation, artificial intelligence, platform capitalism).
- Labour demands for the 21st century (reduced working week, universal basic income).
- How our work-ethic today shapes our work reality tomorrow.
In the end we also discussed the ways we imagine a world without work? Do we want it? And what will it take to get us there?
