Peridromio is an object that occurred within the course "Contemporary Theories and Applications in Design" of the postgraduate program "Design - Space - Culture" (NTUA). The course, organised by N. Anastasopoulos, aimed at a small-scale urban intervention meeting the criteria of ecology, sustainability and participation. Thus, a mobile urban furniture was invented in order to assist in cultural activities hosting open meals and other kinds of improvisational events.

Peridromio was originally designed as a multicultural kitchen that would invite city residents around its trolley-table, achieving widespread social exchanges. At the beginning of 2019, the trolley-table was constructed by an extended working team, with the financial support of the School of Architecture (NTUA) and the technical support of LUDD Makerspace. It has been implemented through a process of self-learning and collaboration and with the aim of its integration into a set of alternative actions within the real social space. It was introduced at the Carnival of Metaxourgeio in early March by the team itself in collaboration with the community “The Other Human: social kitchen, free food for all”.

Peridromio addresses any collective or initiative that takes part in open social actions, and is available for anyone, as long as they make careful use of the object itself. Therefore, we are looking forward to observing the impact of this trolley-table on the daily life of the city.
