Sousta is a small-scale mobile architectural installation that provides immersive nomadic experiences. It is a versatile and multi-purpose cart designed to serve open-air markets and various outdoor or indoor activities, such as exhibitions, informational campaigns, workshops, culinary celebrations, and more.

By embracing the rich tradition of itinerant vendors and street markets in Greece, we consider the traditional mobile cart - so-called "sousta”- as a symbol of a bygone era and we attempt to reimagine it by translating its structural elements in contemporary values and needs. 

The design concept of the object is rooted in the principles of open architecture, modularity, variability, and mobility. This allows it to adapt and redefine its purpose to accommodate the diverse needs of modern urban life. It can host a multitude of activities within the modern urban landscape. Equipped with a wide range of tools, it serves domestic, commercial, and cultural activities with equal efficiency.

It can be easily transported from place to place according to the needs of the user in a conventional car. The main volume of the installation, measuring 120cm(L) x 60cm(W) x 95cm(H), assembled without the suspension system and carrying handles, fits inside the car's luggage compartment with the rear seats folded down.
